Abilities: Chise actually works behind the scenes most of the time; her job requires her to remain bound to one of Orochimaru's hideouts. Although she does not go on missions often, she trains often to keep her skills sharpened. She is not considered an official medical-ninja but she does have some training in basic medical ninjutsu and first aid. Chise is a supporting team member and rarely sent on missions by herself. When she is forced to fight, Chise prefers to use her poisons or a special weapon of hers: Chise has a pair of black gloves that look like plain old gloves. However, this is not the case: when embued with chakra, several blades appear at the knuckles. She can retract the blades at any time but she finds this weapon rather useful in combat.
-Strengths:
-Knowledge of Poisons/Drugs: Chise's expertise lays with poisons and drugs. Due to the nature of her job, Chise carries around tranquilizers, narcotics, and other drugs in various forms. In combat, Chise will use her various poisons to disable her opponents. Chise is also familiar with poisonous plants and she saves her 'special' poisons as a last resort. Chise prefers not to kill people if she does not have to--so she prefers to use tranquilizers or narcotics. Chise can also create antidotes for common poisons.
Chise has a high tolerance to poisons and other drugs, having built one up over the course of  her pharmacuetical training.
Chise also has a small box of cynaide pills in case she is compromised on a mission.
-Medical Ninjutsu: Chise is relatively well versed in medical ninjutsu and she can act as a medic-nin if necessary.  She has always had good chakra control, a talent she put to good use by training in medical ninjutsu.
-Chakra Control: Chise did not have good chakra control at first, but under Torihi's tutelage, she is able to develop her chakra control and use it to her full potential. Chise takes her chakra control training even further by training in medical ninjutsu.
--
Personality: Chise is a submissive-moralistic personality type: she is driven by her emotions and instincts to nuture and protect. Overall, Chise is a serious person who is focused on her work. She loves what she does for a living and she has a desire to help people. Chise is a very compassionate person, hating to see people hurt or in need and she believes that she is making a difference. In her childhood, Chise believed that she could fix other people's problems and she would try to help...to no avail. Over time, Chise realizes that she can not change people for the better or worse--only those who are willing to change can. However, she still has to remind herself that she has her own problems to deal with and she can't solve everyone else's.

One of the reasons why Chise wanted to work with shinobi with cursed seals because the effects they suffer from range from nerve damage to severe mental illness. Chise wanted to help them, seeing that they needed it the most even though others said she should become a simple medical ninja.

Chise is a relatively sweet girl and she puts others before herself: she wants to make sure that all of her loved ones are taken care of. She would rather go without than see others' suffering. Chise is not materialistic and she has very few possessions of her own. If she is given any gifts, Chise treasures them all dearly. Those who have done Chise a good turn in the past will not be forgotten; she remembers who her allies are. She will always repay them in one manner or another; Chise doesn't like owing debts of any kind. One of her most noticeable traits is her patience: she can put up with quite a bit before blowing up, or even getting angry. It is part of her job and she is used to dealing with irrational people on a consistent basis. Chise is one to forgive, but never forgets--until you get to a certain point.

Chise tries not to argue as much as possible because she sees it as pointless. Name-calling never got anyone anywhere as far as she's concerned. She tries to resolve conflict in the most civil way possible but sometimes her patients force her into subdueing them wth drugs or chokeholds, which she states is "for their own good"; Chise wishes that they wouldn't make her do this to them.

Chise is an intelligent young girl and takes her medical studies seriously. When Chise is not on duty, she is often found with medical texts or other historical documents. She was trained to pick up on body language and there are few people that can lie to her convincingly. However, for all of Chise's good intentions and intelligence, Chise is vulnerable to those that make her feel important or she is helpful in some manner. Wants nothing more than validated for doing something right or belonging. Chise never thinks of Otogakure as a prison or anything unusually cruel because it is all she has ever known. Instead, Otogakure is a shelter, safe from the rest of the cruel world. Everything she knows has been centered around the village and she has always admired Orochimaru. Orochimaru took her in when no one else would and she was grateful for that, hoping to prove her worth to him.

Chise is her own worst critic and she does not take mistakes from herself. Although she is always concerned for the well-being of others, she often neglects her own feelings. Chise doesn't expect to make mistakes, especially about others. She hates to think that she was wrong about someone--whether her assessment was good or bad. After Sasuke kills Orochimaru and leaves Otogakure, Chise's attitude changes, leaving her conflicted about many of her ideals. At first, Chise was angered and confused as she was just starting to feel genuine feelings for Sasuke--only to have him take everything she had and leave without another word. Chise became depressed knowing that she had made one of the biggest mistakes of her life: she made herself vulnerable to someone.

Chise cares about Sasuke's safety and well-being even after he leaves Otogakure. She has never felt the need to sugarcoat facts around him. Chise would never think about pursuing a relationship with him while he was under her care; doctor-patient relationships are to be kept professional at all times. Even after Sasuke is no longer her patient, she still feels some guilt about the feelings she harbors for him.

Chise is not squeamish in the slightest and there are very few things that bother her.

Likes: boiled seafood, studying, winter, rainy days, meditating, sunflowers
Dislikes: rude people, hot days, confrontation, ignorance, people who mistake kindness for weakness

Family:
Fuuka (nee Fūma) Meichou [Mother]
Hatsuharu Meichou [Father]
--
Past: Chise was born to Fuuka and Hatsuharu Meichou on August 1st in Orochimaru's northern base. Fuuka had always been under Orochimaru's rule as she was part of the  Fūma clan after he promised her that he could restore her clan's former glory. Hatsuharu was a man from a small unknown village, seeking power from Orochimaru after being declared an outcast. Chise's childhood was decent; she suffered from no specific childhood trauma. When Chise was six, her father received a Curse Seal of Heaven, one of the strongest seals. However, Hatsuharu had trouble controlling it and it would often take over while he was upset. As a result, Hatsuharu would take small leaves of absence and he had to take medication in order to suppress his curse seal from activating. Even with those precautions, Hatsuharu suffered from a great deal of pain. Chise felt helpless to see her father in such pain.
She had a good relationship with both of her parents and Chise was tested in several areas. Chise's strongest area was ninjutsu and intelligence; she did rather poorly in genjutsu and taijutsu. When she was promoted to genin, Chise was put on a team with Naoto, Otohime, and Torihi Teraoka. Under Torihi's guidance, Chise developed her chakra control and ninja abilities. Once her chakra control was sufficient, she was recommended to start training as a medic-nin. Early on, Chise wanted to work with patients with cursed seals. Obviously, she was discouraged by elders, but she was allowed to continue as her therapy sessions worked in Orochimaru's favor.
Chise first apppeared in the Invasion of Konoha arc, watching from an undisclosed location with Naoto. She advised Naoto to be careful out there and not to compromise his mission. However, Chise also appears at the conclusion of the Sasuke Retrieval arc, where she welcomed Sasuke to Orochimaru's base in Kusagakure. In the two year timeskip, Chise worked with many patients and usually resorted to group therapy. However, she had a separate list of "special" patients to work with one-on-one. Sasuke Uchiha was one of them: he was completely unresponsive to other aides. Even Sasuke had trouble controlling his seal and when he arrived at the base, he was in a weakened state. Chise felt some sympathy towards him; she hated to see someone her age in such a state. Although Chise kept her relationship with him professional, she tried to be nice to him on other occasions. The few attempts to be friendly to him were pushed aside and her attempts at conversation were ignored. Chise was relatively patient and did not try to force the issue. However, his passive-aggressive behavior reached a new low when she brought tea to him for the session. He made a move to knock it out of her hand, Chise threw it in his face. She then informed him that his behavior for the past two months have been unacceptable and if he wants her help, then he will have to do better than that.
Chise refused to work with him--he would have to come to her. It took a while for Sasuke to approach her and even then he did not directly apologize for his behavior. They resumed sessions as usual; Sasuke was not openly ignoring her anymore, but he was still reluctant to open up. Chise did not rush him into any hasty decisions and quickly learned which subjects to avoid. For two years, Chise operated as his therapist and they kindled an odd sort of friendship.
After Sasuke kills Orochimaru and leaves Otogakure, Chise is distraught. Orochimaru was her idol in a way; he always made her feel useful. She was fighting and worked for a cause she believed in. Now, Orochimaru was gone and Otogakure was deteriorating. Many fled, scattering to other countries. Patients disappeared from her sessions quickly. Chise promised herself that she would stay as long as she could. Months passed by and she realized that there was nothing left to stay for. For once, Chise questioned her morals and felt confused. She left Otogakure to travel aimlessly, looking for a new purpose in life. Chise stuck to small civilian villages and lands; she was still considered an Otogakure kunoichi. Stepping into a hidden village or land would be suicide as she would be arrested and most likely executed. In her travels, Chise would run into Sasuke and his team from time to time. Each meeting was more bitter than the last as both were quite angry. Sasuke felt that Chise was getting in his way. Chise was angry that Sasuke destroyed any future she had in Otogakure and abandoned her after a word.
Chise is seen very little, staying out of the war and refusing to work for either side.
